Express Post: Easy Mediterranean Pate

Alfredo’s favourite ever pate.

  • 20 green pitted olives (or use stuffed ones)
  • 3 T walnuts (a large handful)
  • 2T extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 a red pepper
  • Component parts, ready for blitzing










Food process until completely smooth, or leave a little texture if you prefer.

Finished article! Delicious.

    What would you use if you didn’t have green olives?


    • Let’s see; the olives provide the fatty substance that a pate needs and it gives it it’s distinctive flavour. If you don’t like olives, best avoid this pate (I do not think it would be as nice with black) if you like olives but you don’t have any, try a walnut pate? Follow the link for a delicious one (walnuts,sundried tomatoes,red pepper and a few condiments) I can highly recommend it!
